The Maryland office warmly welcomes Miss Mai Huynh Dinh to the BPSOS family! Mai Huynh will be in charge of Maryland’s afterschool youth program, which was funded under a generous grant from the Montgomery County’s CDBG funds. Mai Huynh began work at the beginning of July, and has already launched a mini-summer learning program which has trained 9 volunteer/mentors to work with 9 Vietnamese youth! Mai Huynh completed CPR/First Aid training and successfully led safety and mentorship training for our new volunteers.
Mai Huynh is a rising junior at the University of Maryland-College Park, majoring in Government and Politics. She is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Global Communities Living and Learning Program. As a child, Mai Huynh was involved in BPSOS youth programs as well as the Vietnamese Girl Scouts in Maryland. She understands the importance of positive youth development, and her energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to leading programs benefitting the Vietnamese community make her a much welcomed asset to our office.
Please join me in extending Miss Mai Huynh Dinh a warm welcome!
