May 26, 2009: Over 90 young people and 50 volunteers from three Gulf Coast states turned out for this year’s Noodle Bowl, a flag football tournament that helps empower youth and get them engaged in community activism.

“The focus is on youth development through recreation, networking with peers, and collaboration through teamwork,” said Daniel Q. Le, manger of the BPSOS branches in Biloxi and Bayou La Batre. “Boat People SOS Biloxi was proud to be one of the sponsors of this wonderful event.”

This year’s tournament was held on May 16 at St. Martin Football Field in Ocean Springs, MS. Players and organizers came from Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.
