Nancy Le will add her set of skills, including management of finances and information systems, to Houston’s Emergency Response and Recovery Program.
February 20, 2009: Boat People SOS is proud to welcome Nancy Le, who will be working with the Houston branch as an IKE case manager! As part of the Emergency Response and Recovery Program, which is funded by the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund, she will help limited-English proficient hurricane survivors obtain access to badly needed services and assistance.
Besides her BS in Finance & Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Boston, she will bring to BPSOS-Houston her experience in customer service and data management. A skilled instructor, she has taught students how to use Microsoft Office applications.
Working with fellow case manager Annie Trinh, she also plans to use her skills to help people in the Vietnamese-American community and beyond obtain the public benefits they need, and to ensure that immigrant families can cope with the many challenges of living in a new country.
BPSOS-Houston, along with our board and community partners, is pleased and excited to have someone with her experience on board. Welcome!
