Tin Tức – News: BPSOS-Springfield Boosts Vietnamese Americans in the Democratic Process

October 21, 2008: BPSOS-Springfield, continuing its efforts to widen the Vietnamese-American community’s participation in the democratic process, recently referred seven seniors to be trained by the Springfield Election Commission. These civic-minded elders are now certified poll workers, with Election Day shifts from 7am to 8pm.

On a related note, BPSOS-Falls Church’s voter registration and get out the vote drive, now under way in partnership with the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, just received prominent coverage in an article titled Asian Americans Feeling the Power in The Washington Post.
