Tin Tức – News: BPSOS-Charlotte Voter Registration Drive Empowers Vietnamese Americans

Banner on the door of the BPSOS-Charlotte office urges Vietnamese Americans to exercise their democratic rights.

October 8, 2008: BPSOS-Charlotte staff members Linh Quach and Hien Phan took the initiative to team up with the local Vietnamese community organization to launch a voter registration drive that has registered hundreds of new voters! The BPSOS radio program they run has showcased materials that urge people to register and vote, all translated by dedicated BPSOS volunteers.

Five young volunteers have dedicated their time and efforts to this project. There will be a final drive by the end of October before the general election to urge registered voters to go to their polling places.

Kudos to the Charlotte team for promoting democracy in action and empowering the Vietnamese-American community!
