May 14, 2009: BPSOS-Houston is proud to welcome Tue Dinh as a member of the Ike Disaster Recovery Program (IDRP) team!
Even before settling in the United States, Dinh provided services to war victims and refugees from Communism. Upon reaching US shores, he used his own refugee experiences to inform his work to meet the needs of the Vietnamese-American community. His desire to help others like him led Dinh to join the YMCA, where he provided refugee resettlement and social services for 18 years.
Dinh will play a key role in providing services to the Vietnamese-American community through the IDRP.
“Mr. Dinh’s extensive experience with the Vietnamese community in Houston will be an asset for the BPSOS Houston office,” said Danielle Bolks, director of the IDRP. “We’re very grateful that he will be lending us his insights and critically needed skills.”
