September 22, 2008: From the path of destruction left behind by Ike, BPSOS-Houston staff attorney An-Phong Vo writes:
“Branch manager Trish Nguyen is assisting our last client of the day, a displaced client from Port Arthur whose only source of livelihood, a small shrimping boat, was destroyed by Ike. The office was packed from early morning. Our staff worked tirelessly to serve a total of 159 families today, on top of our daily responsibilities. A note of gratitude to our volunteers: Christina, Bich, Chuong, Truc and Cecilia!”
The count of families and individuals BPSOS has helped in the wake of Hurricane Ike now stands at 226 in just two days.
