June 19, 2008: The Road to Independence through Savings and Education (RISE) program offers Vietnamese Americans the skills to take advantage of one of the greatest investments they can make for their family, and that is home ownership!

On Saturday, June 14, BPSOS teamed up with Wells Fargo and Freddie Mac to host a financial workshop for the Vietnamese American community. The event detailed the process of buying a home, while stressing the importance of maintaining good credit. This event, part of a series of monthly financial literacy workshops, was held at 9am at the BPSOS office at 6066 Leesburg Pike, in Falls Church, VA. The speaker was Andy Tran, mortgage consultant for Wells Fargo.
